Minister Maxim Topilin signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Russia and Iran (MOU)

9-10 November 2015 Minister Maxim Topilin visited Tehran (the Islamic Republic of Iran) in order to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding cooperation in social and labour sphere.

The mentioned MOU was signed by Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Maxim Topilin and Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social welfare Islamic Republic of Iran Mr Ali Rabiei.

"We agreed with the Iranian colleagues on cooperation in pension insurance, social welfare, labour and employment, including labour migration, - said Maxim Topilin. - Special attention is paid to the development of professional qualifications relevant to both countries".

The Parties shall cooperate in the following forms: exchange of documentation, consultations and expert sessions, meetings and conferences on agreed topics.

During the meeting in Tehran the ministers also discussed the issues of illegal employment, labour relations in small business, social support for socially vulnerable categories of the population, creating an accessible environment for people with disabilities, including the provision of services to improve working conditions and reduce occupational accident.
