The 54th Session of the Commission for Social Development was held in New York from 3 to 12 February 2016 at United Nations Headquarters under the priority theme “Rethinking and strengthening social development in the contemporary world”.

The Russian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Alexey Сherkasov. He made a speech on the priority theme of the session.

The Russian delegation also included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation.
